California ❤️ How the Coastline Maps the Forex Dealer Cycle

You know those moments where your brain refuses to see things the “normal” way?

That’s me with trading.

For whatever reason, the dealer cycle EMA slope has always looked like the California coastline to me. The curves, the drops, the way it hugs and releases — it just felt like Highway 1 cutting down the edge of the state.

So one day, I thought: why not actually overlay California onto the chart?

And when I did… it clicked. The same behaviors the dealers run showed up right where the cities are.

The Road Trip Down Highway 1

Here’s how it plays out:

🌲 Eureka → Trap Zone “I found it!” … except no, you didn’t. Dealers set the fake start here.

✈️ Redding → The Shift Candle / Fly-through Market slams the gas, breaking structure. Everyone thinks reversal, but it’s just the ride beginning.

The California coastline as a dealer cycle — from Eureka’s trap start to San Diego’s final push, the EMA slope maps perfectly onto Highway 1.

🏛 Sacramento → Fake Reset / Political Pause Looks like the cycle’s over, but it’s just a stall. Structure holds.

🌉 San Francisco → EMA Push Continuation Smooth and steady momentum. Think Golden Gate glide — strong, clean continuation.

🌊 Monterey → Channel Ride Price hugs the EMAs, riding the slope just like the Monterey Bay curve.

🐢 San Luis Obispo → Mid-Cycle Exhaustion Dealers stall out, redistribute, make it look sleepy. But nope — not done.

🎬 Los Angeles → Hollywood Drama / Dealer Fakeout Big shift candle, flashing lights, false glamour. Retail eats it up. Dealers laugh.

🌵 San Diego → Final 4H TDI Popout / Border Completion Exhaustion blow. You’ve reached the border — cycle complete.

🎲 Vegas & Beyond → The Blowoff & Reset Dealers go full gambler: volatility spike, overshoot, then everything resets.

Why This Works

California naturally flows north to south in three parts:

NorCal = Level 1

Central = Level 2

SoCal = Level 3

It’s the exact rhythm of the dealer cycle.

Try It Yourself

Overlay California on your own chart and watch how the market’s “road trip” lines up.

The dealers may be sneaky, but they’re not as original as they think.

So when you’re trading, you don’t have to overthink it — you just ask yourself:

Where am I ?

Lost in Eureka?

Did I just fly through Redding (shift candle)?

Stalling in Sacramento?

Or are we already hitting the San Diego border (final push)?

The map doesn’t lie — the dealers always drive the same route. 🌊🎲🌴
