You've now been through all eight boxes — the base, the break, the grind, the spike-and-stall, the flip, the second leg, the stall, and the settle. That's the whole shape. It doesn't get more complicated than this at the core; it just gets more repetitions.
Here's the part nobody tells you at the start of learning something like this: understanding the shape and recognizing it live, in real time, on a chart that's moving while your heart rate is doing something unhelpful — those are two different skills. You just built the first one. Here's how you build the second.
What to do right now
Go find Box 1 on your own chart, right now
Not a screenshot from this guide — an actual chart, actual price, this week. Before you try to spot anything else, practice spotting the boring box. Everything else in this system depends on being able to recognize when nothing is happening on purpose.
Trace one full cycle from 1 to 8
Pick a completed move on your chart — something that's already played out — and label all eight boxes on it after the fact. This is easier than doing it live, and it's how you train your eye before you have to do it under pressure.
Give the 4→5 pivot the most attention
Of everything in this guide, this pair carries the most weight. Once you can reliably spot a Box 4 spike-and-stall while it's happening — not after — you have the single highest-leverage skill this whole system teaches.
Keep the cheat sheet next to you while you trade
Not the full field guide — the condensed version. You want something you can glance at in three seconds, not something you have to read. Print it, pin it, whatever keeps it in your peripheral vision.
Expect to be wrong while you're still learning the eye
You will call a Box 4 that turns out to be a Box 2 pullback. Everyone does, at first. That's not a sign the system doesn't work — it's a sign you're still building the pattern recognition that makes it fast and automatic later.
Deeper Context: the move is front-loaded. Most of the real distance gets covered in the first third of the box, fast. What follows is a shallower continuation in the same direction — less a sprint, more a determined walk. If you're waiting for the "big move" to keep accelerating the whole way through, you'll miss that it already happened at the start.

Why people skip this box (and shouldn't)
I get it. Box 1 is boring. There's no green candle screaming "get in now." It's the box that never gets its own highlight reel.
But if you can't identify Box 1, you will never correctly identify anything that comes after it — because every single position in this system is defined relative to the one before it. You don't know you're in a Box 2 breakout unless you know you just left a Box 1 base. Skip this box in your own learning, and you'll spend your whole trading life reacting to moves instead of expecting them.
There's something almost insulting about how simple this is, honestly. We want the market to hand us drama. It hands us a flat line and a bored-looking oscillator instead.

It creates the initial high and low. Both on it's own 1-8 and then entire box 1 will set the i H&L for the larger cycle.

How to trade it
The move is not in box 1 of 1, (red.) It's in box 7 (darlk blue) of box 1. Take it for a long, for the start of the larger cycle. Hold position for boxes 2 through 4.

The takeaway
You're not going to trade Box 1. That's not what it's for. What it's for is orientation — it's the box that tells you "we're at the start of something, pay attention to what comes next." Learn to recognize this one, because the alternative is finding out you were in Box 4 only after you've already missed Box 2.
The market doesn't skip its warmup. Neither should you.
